✖ brooklyn in helsinki
I recently landed for a backstage host gig, which is something new and different for me and while I'm a nervous wreck I'm also excited about the whole opportunity. Finally, something actually interesting and close to my future career is happening in my life, and I couldn't be more stoked.
However, it's time to talk about that later and skip back to 29th of January when my friend Maija and I were looking for those NYC vibes from Brooklyn Cafe which is located in Helsinki. It was such a cold and snowy day that day and our plans were to originally to go and do a little photo shoot, but we just spent 4 hours eating in different places.
Brooklyn Cafe in Punavuori district is a small cosy coffee shop. The jazz is playing, the staff is speaking English and you can smell the bagels when you enter the door. It refers to itself as "Brooklyn in Helsinki", and they couldn't be more right. Or well, how would I know, I haven't been to a cafe in Brooklyn before. Let's get back to this after our visit to New York, as I've got a long list of coffee shops I'm going to visit.
And the chocolate chip cookies over there are to die for! The tastiest cookies I've ever eaten, and that's why it's one of my favourite places to pop by when I've got some spare time and I happen to be close by.
Do you have any favourite coffee shops?
so aesthetically pleasing, wish I can visit too someday!x

Well, if you're ever in Helsinki... :-)
DeleteThis looks and sounds like such a cosy little place, I love coffee shops like that! It's cool that it has such a distinct feel to it, I'm interested to see if you think it lives up to the 'Brooklyn in Helsinki' tag after you've visited New York!
