✖ 24 brutally honest things I've learned in 24 years

Just like any other Wednesday, except that it's not. It's my birthday today, and as I am turning 24 today (yeah, I'm basically one leg on my way to the grave already, does anyone want to come to coffin shopping with me later this week, I like to be prepared?), I decided to share 24 brutally honest things I have learned in 24 years.

It's going to be a list, there won't be any explanations and in case if you want me to explore the subject more over here on my blog, please let me know in the comments below and the blog post will be written. Grab a cuppa and prepare yourself for 24 brutally honest things I've learned in 24 years. And by brutal, I actually mean brutal. And by honest, I actually mean honest. So let's hit it.

✖ I'll never eat tastier chocolate cake in my life again, after the one I ate in Gozo, Malta back in 2009.
✖ Life is too short to give a fuck what other people think of you.
✖ Life is too short for counting calories.
✖ Saving money is fun.
✖ It's totally okay to get excited about a new vacuum cleaner.
✖ Sometimes relationships suck.
✖ Sometimes you need to let people go.
✖ Yoga fixes everything.
✖ Life is too short for bad sex.
✖ Life is too short to be stuck in a shitty job.
✖ You can never have too much pizza.
✖ If it's not meant to be, then it's not meant to be.
✖ Even the perfect relationships end sometimes.
✖ It's okay to get lost.
✖ You don't have to prove your worth to anyone but yourself.
✖ People will talk about you behind your back, it's up to you whether you listen to them or not.
✖ Lost trust can be built again in time.
✖ You don't need a father. It could be nice to have one, but you don't need one.
✖ The family isn't based on DNA.
✖ There's not an issue a cup of coffee could not fix. Or at least make better.
✖ Life is too short to be spent with people that are toxic for you.
✖ Your past won't define your future.
✖ You don't have to kiss peoples arses to get where you want.
✖ You don't have to take the BS from anyone.

  3. I'm fascinated by you saying that perfect relationships end sometimes. For me "perfect" relationships don't end if they're really are perfect as you say? A lot of these cracked me up a little though 😂

Happy 24th by the way! Here's hoping your 24th year brings you fun, memorable life experiences!

  5. Such important lessons to have learnt! Some people are not lucky enough to have learnt these lessons in old age. It's nice to see a young person taking on these lessons. The one I love the most is family isn't just about DNA. It took me some years to come to this realisation and it's now something I remind my children of everyday xxx
